Based on initial records, ‘Bad Newz made around Rs 8.50 crore nett in India on its first day. The film delivers a funny spin on the chaotic world of heteropaternal superfecundation, departing from usual rom-com themes and distinguishing it from other films in its category.

ABPLive review of the film reads: “'Bad Newz’ is all about pure entertainment. It’s a fun, time-pass movie that you'll thoroughly enjoy if you don’t overanalyse and just go with the flow. With a star-studded cast, the film could have been more exceptional with a stronger script, particularly in the second half.”
