'Ishq Vishk Rebound' Review: Pashmina Roshan And Rohit Saraf's Romantic Comedy Will Touch Your Heart

Ishq Vishk Rebound Review: Love, affection, romance, and passion—these are emotions that resonate deeply with everyone & 'Ishq Vishk Rebound' exquisitely captures the evolving nature of these feelings in our modern world. This film beautifully portrays how the definition of love changes over time, making it a must-watch.

Story:

In today's ever-changing society, the meanings of love and friendship for the younger generation have shifted. 'Ishq Vishk Rebound' brings these modern concepts to life on the big screen in an engaging and heartfelt manner. The story centers around the intertwining lives of two young men and two young women: Rohit Saraf (Raghav), Pashmina Roshan (Saina), Jibraan Khan (Sahir), and Naila Grrewal (Riya).

At a certain point in their lives, Sahir and Sanya begin dating, with Raghav consistently playing the role of the third wheel. He not only joins them on their dates but also gets involved in their arguments, providing support as they both navigate their respective issues. Complications arise when Raghav starts dating Riya (Naila Grewal), an environmentalist. Riya and Sanya don't get along, as Sanya behaves like a spoiled brat towards her. Consequently, Raghav decides to keep his relationship with Riya a secret. Despite dating Riya, Raghav continues to prioritize his friendship with Sanya, leading to his eventual breakup with Riya.

Meanwhile, Sanya and Sahir's relationship falls apart when he gets admitted to Army school, and Sanya, aware of his aspirations, reacts immaturely. With Sahir away, Raghav takes on the responsibility of looking after Sanya. This dynamic eventually leads to them kissing, significantly altering their relationship and adding layers of complications. The question remains: Will Raghav and Sanya end up together, or is this just another rebound destined to end? You'll have to watch the film to find out.

The beauty of 'Ishq Vishk Rebound' lies in its ability to be both emotionally resonant and thoroughly entertaining. The film’s sensitive storytelling will undoubtedly strike a chord with viewers. It is a modern love story that delves deep into the emotions of friendship and affection.

Performances:

Rohit Saraf shines as a confused lover and dedicated friend, making the film his own. While Pashmina Roshan had impressive moments with her on-screen mother, played by Supriya Pilgaonkar, her scenes with the male characters were less convincing in the first half. However, as the film progressed, Pashmina appeared much more comfortable with the camera and her co-stars.

Jibraan Khan and Naila Grewal, on the other hand, deserved more substantial roles and screen time. Jibraan brought a fun and charming presence to his character. Given the complexity of the love triangle, Jibraan should have had more scenes, particularly with Rohit, to better showcase their bond. Naila’s role in the film felt more like an extended cameo, lacking the depth it deserved.

Writing and Direction:

Writer and director Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari, with his roots in Marathi theater and film, once again proves his maturity and skill with 'Ishq Vishk Rebound.' His meticulous effort is evident but there are angles that are random and are not pleasing to the eyes.

Music:

The melodious music by Rochak Kohli is another highlight, with each song adding depth and meaning to the narrative. The reimagining of some classic songs in a new style is particularly praiseworthy. Tips Films has succeeded in bringing back the much needed rom-com genre that audiences had been yearning for!

Conclusion:

Overall, 'Ishq Vishk Rebound' is a romantic comedy that promises an enjoyable experience for the entire family. Its portrayal of the profound connections of love and friendship makes it a film worth watching for the Gen-Z.
