About Maidaan and its review
Based on the life of football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, the film directed by Amit Sharma, also stars Priyamani, Gajraj Rao and others.
The film review on ABP Live reads: ‘Maidaan’ stands apart from other sports movies like ‘83’ or ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ by keeping away from prosthetics and detailed life stories. Instead, it delves more into Rahim and his team's fierce fight against the system and the obstacles thrown their way. In a scene, we see the players try hard to defend a goal on the field which mirrors the intensity of their struggles off the field.
