Many X users praised Salman for backing a small budget movie like 'Laapataa Ladies'. Meanwhile, some were quick to point out that it is not Kiran's first film as a director.
Aamir Khan, Kiran's former husband and co-producer on 'Laapataa Ladies', is good friends with Salman. Salman and Aamir are popular for their on-screen collaboration in Rajkumar Santoshi's buddy comedy 'Andaz Apna Apna' from 1994. Recently, both the actors were spotted giving a performance at the grand Ambani bash, a celebration hosted as part of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding festivities.
