Sunny Deol Says He Did Not Like 'Certain Things’ In Ranbir Kapoor-Starrer Animal, Praises Brother Bobby Deol

New Delhi: The film ‘Animal’, with Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role, has emerged as one of the most successful films of the year and has been consistently making news since its release. Sunny Deol has responded to Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film, in which his brother Bobby Deol also appears. Bobby portrayed the character of Abrar Haque in the movie, and his performance is receiving widespread acclaim. Sunny commended the film while acknowledging his dislike for certain aspects of it.

During a discussion with the news agency PTI, Sunny Deol expressed his happiness for Bobby Deol’s film. He said that he had seen the film ‘Animal’ and liked it.

The ‘Gadar 2’ actor expressed, “I am genuinely happy for Bobby. I have watched 'Animal,' and I liked it, it's a nice film. There are certain things that I did not like, which I don't like in many films including my own films. But that's as a person I have the right to like or not like but in totality it is a nice film. The music is very good and it goes hand in glove with the sequences. Bobby has always been Bobby, but now he is Lord Bobby."

There has been a lot of appreciation for the score of the film. While Harshvardhan Rameshwar is responsible for the film's soundtrack, the musicians who contributed to the score for ‘Animal’ include JAM8, Vishal Mishra, Jaani, Manan Bhardwaj, Shreyas Puranik, Ashim Kemson, and Ravi Shankar.

'Animal', which premiered on December 1, is about a son's destructive bond with his father. The film, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, portrays Ranbir Kapoor's anti-hero Vijay as someone who would sacrifice anything to save his father, Anil Kapoor. Unfortunately, his emotionally unavailable father still refuses to provide his stamp of approval, no matter how much he tries. Rashmika Mandanna plays the role of his wife, and her character suffers as a result of his toxic connection with his father.

Additionally, a number of people on social media have accused ‘Animal’ of promoting toxic masculinity and sexism. On the other hand, the film is still doing quite well at the box office. At the Indian box office, it has already surpassed Rs 500 crore.
