Tiger 3 Box Office Day One Estimates: Salman Khan Film Expected To Have Biggest Diwali Day In Bollywood History

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s third film in the Tiger franchise – Tiger 3 released on Sunday with much fanfare, despite being released on Diwali – a day considered dull for the box office. The fans were seen thronging the theatres as early as 6 AM.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film is estimated to have an opening day of Rs 40 crore, which would be the biggest Diwali day in Bollywood history. The movie recorded a morning occupancy of 36.55 percent in Hindi.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh also shared the collection of the film across national multiplex chains PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis. The film had collected Rs 10.85 crore till 12:30 PM from these chains.

Though the film is opening to a record Diwali day collection, it is still nowhere close to the numbers of Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan and Jawan which collected Rs 57 crore and 75 crore respectively.

Tiger 3 review
The film has opened to mostly positive response from the viewers with many taking to social media platform X and praising the film for its high-action sequence. As expected Shah Rukh Khan's cameo is one of the major highlights of the film. Apart from SRK, Hrithik Roshan has also made a special appearance in the post-credit scene.

ABP Live's review of the film reads, "The third installment turned out to be more engaging than 'Ek Tha Tiger' and 'Tiger Zinda Hai', even after an interminable flashback sequence. In fact, it wouldn't be a stretch to argue that Salman Khan has constantly rewarded his fans with the Tiger franchise. This time, he lived up to the hype unlike anyone else (for a non-Salman fan to say something like, it takes a lot.). His appeal is reinforced by a packed theater for an early show on the day of Diwali, but the film's performance can be gauged by the same crowd exiting feel content."
