Adipurush Box Office Collection Day 9: Prabhas Starrer Inches Towards Rs 300 Crore Club

New Delhi: On its second Saturday, the Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan starrer film 'Adipurush' made some gains. The movie, which has become the subject of criticism, has been dropping rapidly since Monday and hit its lowest point on Friday. In all languages, it has now reached a domestic total of over Rs 268.55 crore.  In all Indian languages, 'Adipurush' reportedly brought in an estimated 5.25 crore net, according to a report on Sacnilk.com. After a strong opening weekend, the movie's box office took a major hit on Monday and dropped to its lowest point to date on Friday, slightly under Rs 3.4 crore. Within a few days of its release, its worldwide total had surpassed Rs 400 crore, but it experienced a major drop as bad press swept throughout the nation. 'Adipurush' was criticised and was requested to be banned not long after it was released. The producers T-Series and UV Creations, along with the director Om Raut, and co-writer Manoj Muntashir had all agreed to tweak the language after protests against the dialogues. The controversial dialogue by Bajrang (based on Hanuman) saying, "Kapda tere baap ka, tel tere baap ka, aag bhi tere baap ki, aur jalegi bhi tere baap ki" has been changed in the fresh prints.  The film review on ABP Live reads: One of the most crucial elements of a period drama or mythological movie is the style of speech used to set up the tone and era. The movie fails miserably in that department, to the point where even the scary and grave sequences are met with giggles. It is not on the shoulders of those watching.  Sunny Singh, Devdatta Nage, Vatsal Sheth, Sonal Chauhan, Siddhant Karnick, and Tejaswini Pandit are also featured in 'Adipurush'. In the movie, Prabhas plays Raghava, Kriti plays Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan plays Lankesh. ALSO READ: Manoj Muntashir: Who Is He? The 'Adipurush' and 'Teri Mitti' author is no stranger to controversy.
